National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The museum was founded back 1888. during the Austro-Hungarian rule, and is valid for the oldest cultural institution in the country. From the very beginning, the National Museum has evolved as a contemporary scientific institution within the framework of several scientific disciplines such as: History, geography, language and literature, archaeology, ethnology and many others. Like many other establishments in Bosnia and Herzegovina the National museum has also felt the consequences of the war after the ‘ 92., but gradually in a lot of invested work this museum restores its old glow, and is now ready for all tourists who enjoy learning about the previous societies and their cultures and customs.
