Canyon ‘Tijesno’
The Vrbas Canyon or the Tijesno Canyon is located just 12 kilometers from the city center. Some of the features of this site and the canyon itself are the beautiful nature, clean water, rich and varied plant and animal world, historical monuments as well as the opportunity for more extreme activities such as rock climbing and rafting.
In the last few years, there has been great efforts by the authorities and associations from Banja Luka to maintain and enhance tourism content. Thus, in the last few years the “Drill and Chill” festival has become very popular. The role of the festival is to show the natural beauty of Vrbas and its canyon, which is visited by tourists from all over the world. Recently, festivalgoers staged an incredible sight by stretching sun beds 200 meters above Vrbas, where they literally hung in the air for several hours.
